This week a press presentation was held at the Museum of Fine Arts. The problem of shortage of space was addressed by the Museum of Fine Arts will soon be resolved. The announcement came about the future integration development project putting forth a planned renovation of the existing building and the construction of a new Art Pavilion reported by post.hr . Also in the discussion was the reconstruction of the Croatian National Theatre in Osijek. Currently the museum is lacking of such space for the presentation of exhibitions and the permanent collection. The renovation and the construction of the new buildings will provide the necessary means required by museum for additional space. It will be more functional to be able to hold the temporary of storage of works of art, for promotion, education and lectures, restoration workshops and play host for many upcoming events. The main goal of the project will provide a new concept and a new permanent exhibition. It was launched by the initiative Mr. Sc. Branka Balen, director of the MLU (former Gallery). The completion of the project will be continued by the term of office under the directors Leonilde Conti. Authors of the preliminary design of reconstruction of MLU architects Branimir Kljajić and Goran Jagić, who made sure that the project is functional and aesthetically satisfying all the requirements from which the museum institution located in modern times.
