At the gallery for opening of “IZLOZBA ZA GOSPODU I PUSTOLOVKE.”This past week on the evening of Nov 3 downtown was full of excitement and energy in the Eurodrom building. The ground level was host to the Gala event featuring two local artist. Željka Fuderer Levak and Marija Adrić Soldo in the exhibit “IZLOZBA ZA GOSPODU I PUSTOLOVKE.” (Translates to “EXHIBITION FOR THE Mr. AND The ADVENTURESS”.)The theme is intrinsic in nature to the tone of Women’s lives and the juxtaposition of contemporary media. The show is inviting to all audiences to ponder the artist work to captivate new ideas. For more click here

Gallery Waldinger "All Strings Attached"If you have not seen the latest show at Gallery Waldinger exhibit you may be missing out on something big. The Exhibition is called “Pioneers of European Puppetry” opened up last week Nov 16th at the Gallery. It re-introduces the audience to the time honored traditional classical Puppetry theatre performances from past to latter half of the 20th century. The display partners with Slovenia, Italy and Spain as part of the project. During the stay there will be a series of Workshops, lectures and Performances. On Wednesday November 30 the show finishes up with two shows happening as a grand finally performance. For more click here. |

Saint Nicholas day OsijekOn the eve of Saint Nicholas Day Dec on Dec 6 "Svetog Nikole Dan."' The history and meaning in Croatia and one unique tradition for a Church in Dalmatia. . Children were told that if they were good children they would wake up with gifts from St Nicholas. Today the Grandparents and Parents still keep tradition alive and place by having grandchildren place shoes or winter boots by the front entrance. The next morning youngsters raced to see if anything was left in the boots or shoes. If they were good expected to receive some treats such as candy, chocolate and small Gifts in their boots. . Advent from Osijek to Zagreb
Zagreb wins for Best European Christmas Market 2nd time in a rowLast year was voted as number one in Europe beating out London, Budapest, and 50 other cities. The best way to see it is by actually being there as pictures and hearing about it is not the same. There was no snow but they did a great job making fake snow covering the trees and buildings. The illusion was perfect as it looked like fresh snow had just fallen. Zagreb was full of life and you could hear many languages being spoken. Click here for more details
