This year will be the third installment of “Tour of Croatia’’ and will be held on April 18 to 23 in six Stages throughout Croatia. At this moment the route is yet to be officially announced. With some good news this weekend from Tour of Croatia official face book page. They announced that they are looking for volunteers to be part of the cyclist race: “Those interested can join the team of volunteers in the most appropriate, depending on where you live. Cities, towns and locations that are looking for volunteers Osijek, Koprivnica, Ludbreg, Trogir, Makarska, Imotski, Zadar, Crikvenica, Umag, Porec, Učka, Rijeka, Opatija, Samobor and Zagreb . Applications will be accepted until March 31 , and the application forms with detailed instructions can be fulfilled here .”( Posted from Tour of Croatia on 02/17/2017) This is a one of kind opportunity for cycling enthusiasts as it gives a chance to meet people that share the same passion for racing. Volunteers will gain knowledge and skills working in a team environment setting. The event organizers are currently looking for 420 volunteers (70 on each leg of the race) will be chosen from. Each Volunteer must successfully complete a training session about procedures and safety guidelines. Osijek last year was the starting point for Tour of Croatia starting point with the world watching. Brining out some of the biggest names and cyclist teams from around the world. The athletes faced some of toughest inclines as they raced around Croatia’s picturesque country sides and villages. Osijek’s famous Neo-Gothic Cathedral was the perfect back-drop for being the starting line of the race. With many crowds lined up along the cyclist route waiting to catch a glimpse of the rider’s race through their city. It was a chance for viewers around the world to see just some of Croatia’s famous land marks and Historical Cities. If you’re living in Osijek or some of the places mentioned, this is a great opportunity to be a volunteer for Tour of Croatia.
